Triple By-Pass wins first game 4/4/2009

The Doctor’s Check-up

Team Triple By-Pass’s  Update

Triple By-pass give their first opponent a heart attack.

Downtown Jersey City—Triple By pass played their first game this past Saturday.  The game was held in a drenched field that had been poured on the night before.

As the first line-up ambled up to Ferris High School field, all they saw all around them was some impressive groups running drills and looking like they were going over the rag-tag team of Triple By-Passers.

AND THEY’RE OFF

What a performance.  By halftime, The By-passers led by the two headed Quarterbacking of Balmoris Mencher and Ketal Curry Command rolled over their first opponent by a score of 36-0.   YEPPERS, the triple by-pass defense not only scored a shut-out but also scored two defensive touchdowns.

Some awards and mentions:

Le’ Femme Fatales:
The ladies of this game can be described in two words ‘Union City’. These girls kicked butt like only a big hooped gangsta Union City gal can.

Lisa and Marissa both showed that their hubbies don’t mess with me Union City attitude has definitely rub off on them a bit, as they both gave She-Man a run for her money, and left her in the dust a couple of times….I think I even saw Mencher give a good shove a couple of times.  The Stats committee isn’t done, but in initial conversations, we think Brooklyn Lisa Pizza may have outperformed her hubby Nolo.

Martha Our third gal and a full Union City resident , not only pounded down on her opponent Union city style, but took a pass into the end zone for a second half touchdown.

Honorable mentions:
Our eternal C students showed that Cs are still good on the field too.

Manuel “Nolo” happily not only covered the offense, contributing with an interception and many receptions but with his compassionate touch he joined Jairo in making sure the Femme Fatales were in the right place the whole game.  Jairo after a few flubs, got his legs going and caught some catches leading to some added points for the Triple-By-pass operation.  Julio caught more passes from the opposing team thru interceptions than he did from his own quarterbacks.

PLAYER OF THE GAME:  This one was a tie:

Ketal Curry Command  who not only split time between QB role but had several interceptions (returned one for a touchdown), in total I think he caught more receptions from the other team than any player on their team

Balmo Mencher  also had an interception he returned for a touchdown and aggressively led the team down the field on many a scoring drive.

OUR NEXT OPERATION

We are scheduled for our next procedure on April 18th at the same time 1 pm in the same location.  Jairo and Julio found out that the post-game happy hour is a pretty fun time and we will all hopefully join in the raucous fun as the season goes on.

We look forward to the absent patients to join us in the coming weeks and to the in-house patients to continue with their current treatment plan.
